Technical build / Backend + product platform

Systems write-up with source and ops docs. Not a visual product case.

Orbsurv. Product infrastructure for a panoramic camera platform.

Orbsurv is a product platform around a panoramic camera concept. The work includes backend services, public pages, account flows, admin pages, deployment notes, and launch-readiness checks.

What it includes

A real product needs more than a landing page.

The repository includes API routes for authentication, account settings, dashboard summaries, admin tools, public forms, health checks, and client error reporting.

The backend uses async FastAPI in Python with SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL migrations, JWT auth, role-based guards, Redis-backed rate limiting with fallback behavior, and optional observability instrumentation.

Product scope

Orbsurv is more than one landing page.

The project covers the kind of surrounding infrastructure a hardware or camera product would need before launch: product pages, investor and partner pages, account flows, admin pages, public forms, documentation, and backend services.

That breadth matters because the product is not only the camera. People also need to learn about it, request access, sign in, manage an account, contact the team, and get support.

The repo also includes deployment and security notes, so the work reads as a system that could be run, not only a concept page.

Why highlight it

It shows practical production work.

Security boundaries

JWT auth, refresh/logout paths, role-based admin routes, captcha-ready public forms, and rate limits all appear in the system design.

Deployment readiness

Docker, migrations, environment templates, health probes, and deployment checklists make the project feel built to run, not just built to show.

Full product path

The repo contains public pages, account flows, admin tools, API docs, and support content for a larger product.

What I built

The boring pieces that make a product believable.

Backend API

FastAPI endpoints for auth, user profile, dashboard summaries, settings, public forms, admin tools, and health probes.

Persistence + migrations

SQLAlchemy async models, PostgreSQL connection patterns, Alembic migrations, and local Docker compose support.

Abuse resistance

Rate limits for public forms and client error ingestion, captcha-ready production settings, and safer health check behavior.

Launch documentation

Deployment checklists, security review notes, style guidance, environment templates, and routine quality-gate commands.

Portfolio takeaway

This supports the full-stack side of the portfolio.

Orbsurv is useful because it shows backend and operations judgment. Auth, admin pages, forms, migrations, Docker, CI, rate limits, and readiness docs are not flashy, but they are what turn an idea into something people can run.

I would keep this project in the portfolio as a technical build, and keep cleaning the public repo story so everything points clearly back to Orbsurv.
